Shiba Inu Backed by Binance in Argentina

The trial of the Binance Card pre-paid card in Argentina has been warmly welcomed by the Shiba Army for being a supporter of the Shiba Inu (SHIB) token.

The trial has been carried out since the end of last August, which focuses on usage in daily purchase transactions.

The presence of the pre-paid card is a further step from Binance to significantly advance global crypto adoption.

Shiba Inu Supported by Binance

According to a Watcher News report, Binance has added the Shiba Inu (SHIB) token to the list of tokens supported by the pre-paid card.

In terms of adoption, of course this is another big step for SHIB, because it can reach a wider audience like other big adoptions with Flexa.

With the presence of Shiba Inu on the Binance Card, SHIB will be able to be used at more than 90 million global merchants, as well as providing benefits in the form of 8 percent cashback and free ATM fees for its users.

The reason behind Argentina's selection for the trial is likely because the home country of world footballer Messi has a positive view of crypto assets.

In Argentina, crypto has been considered a safe haven because it has been hit by inflation and a severe economic crisis.

Their native fiat currency, the Peso, continues to erode in value, so residents of the tango country prefer to save in other currencies such as the US dollar and Bitcoin.

The New York Times reports that about a third of Argentina's population trades crypto at least once a month. In percentage terms, that's much more than the US population.

Shibarium Launch News

In addition to the good development of adoption, the Shiba Inu ecosystem also has the latest news from the Shibarium layer-2 (L2) blockchain.

Long awaited, finally news of the launch for beta testing of Shibarium is here, which is said to be scheduled to take place at the end of this quarter, or later.

Watcher News reports that the blockchain solutions company that developed Shibarium, Unification, said that the network is in its fourth alpha test and a successful public test net.

Product lead at Unification, Maziar Sadri, said that the team is heading towards beta testing to bring an L2 network that will reduce costs and increase transaction speed.

"In addition to ensuring a safe and efficient mainnet rollout, public betas will also provide much greater opportunities for open testing and bug fixes," said Sadri.
